Victoria’s cherry blossom tree season is iconic. In addition to the incredible smell, there is no sight more spectacular than a grove of the baby pink flowers. Keep reading to discover the best places to find cherry blossom trees in Victoria this spring.
Beacon Hill Park
Head over to the popular Beacon Hill Park during cherry blossom season - we promise you won’t be disappointed. These pink-hued trees are scattered throughout the park, though one of the best spots to enjoy them is by the pond. Curl up with a good book or plan a picnic and spend the afternoon beneath the fresh blossoms.
The Butchart Gardens
The Butchart Gardens are open year-round, but there’s no better time to visit than in spring. That’s because the gardens come alive with baby pink cherry blossom trees. Both the Japanese Garden and the Sunken Garden are home to these gorgeous trees, which means you’ll have multiple photo opps.
Government House
Government House is a National Historic Site, but more than that, it’s also home to some stunning cherry blossom trees come spring. Located in the Rockland neighbourhood of Victoria, walking just 20 minutes from downtown will bring you to this historic estate. Government House is open daily and boasts 36 acres of land, which is where you will find cherry blossom trees, a rose garden, and much more.
Belleville Street at the Inner Harbour
Cherry blossom trees are located on Belleville Street at the Inner Harbour, only a stone’s throw away from the Days Inn Victoria. In fact, the Inner Harbour as a whole is a beautiful spot for cherry blossom peeping. Take a stroll along the water and enjoy the intoxicating scent of spring.
There’s no better time to visit Victoria than in the spring. If you’re travelling during cherry blossom season, then we’d love for you to book a room at the Days Inn Victoria on the Harbour.
