VICTORIA DAY

This is just a reminder that the best place to celebrate Victoria Day is in the city that shares its name! Victoria features a HUGE parade every Victoria Day that is a ton of fun for the whole family. We’ve already written about it here – check out our profile on the Islands Farms Victoria Day Parade if you need to be convinced that this is a trip worth making (it totally is!).
 

HOPOXIA BEER FEST

A mini-beer festival, Hopoxia is put on by one of Victoria’s favourite breweries, Phillips! Hosted in their “backyard” location, Hopoxia is a celebration of the hoppiest beers around. Last year, over 1200 IPA lovers passed through, making this one of the biggest little parties around! Takes place June 9th.
 

WORLD OCEAN’S DAY

Victoria is lucky to have so much incredible access to the Pacific Ocean and the Salish Sea. Perched on the beautifully calm waters of the Georgia Strait, we have so much to be thankful for! Well, we’re giving back on June 10 for World Ocean’s Day – come by Fisherman’s Wharf for some fun, interactive workshops where you and your kids can learn about the waters surrounding Victoria, the wildlife that lives there, and what you can do to make sure that these waters stay beautiful for hundreds of years!
 

NIGHT ILLUMINATIONS AT BUTCHART GARDENS

Victoria’s famous Butchart Gardens are a treat at any time of year – but they are especially beautiful starting June 15! As the sun sets, the Gardens will be lit with 1000s of gorgeous lights, transforming the gardens into something spectacularly and otherworldly. What’s more, there will be nightly concerts, performances, and on Saturdays even fireworks! Check out Butchart Gardens schedule of events here!
