accommodations in Victoria BC!

Here are some of our favourite things to do this month in Victoria!

GO WHALE WATCHING

November is one of the best times of year to see Humpback Whales! The perfect time of year to see transient whales passing through the Georgia Strait, it’s well worth booking a tour at one of the Harbour’s many whale watching tour groups!

EAT AT THE FICKLE FIG

The Fickle Fig is a Farmer’s market on the Saanich Peninsula that also functions as a café and bistro.  A gorgeous setting in its own right, it’s also a great place to taste local, seasonal produce as prepared by inspired chefs and cooks!

SEE HUNDREDS OF EAGLES AT GOLDSTREAM PARK

It’s salmon spawning season, which means it’s feast time for eagles! One spot to see literally hundreds of these majestic raptors is at Goldstream Park, which is a beautiful hike in its own right. This is a sight that’s impossible to see at literally any other time of year, so don’t miss out!

ENJOY A COCKTAIL

The weather’s getting colder – why not warm your spirits with an artfully crafted cocktail? There are lots of great spots in Victoria to find a drink, but if you’re looking for quirky cool, I recommend Cenote Lounge (that's Spanish for “sinkhole”) under the theatre on Yates St. It’s full of funky cool, and bartender Scott is a maestro when it comes to making drinks!

CHRISTMAS ON THE FARM

Merridale Cidery makes some of the best cider you’ll ever experience. Starting November 25 and lasting until the end of December, you can visit their orchard for a fun Christmas on The Farm event! This location is gorgeous all year round, but soon it will be transformed into a winter wonderland with Christmas lights, festive food and live entertainment – including an original musical theatre production! 19+ only, more details here.

There’s lots to do in Victoria, and if you’re visiting you should book a stay downtown at the Days Inn Victoria on The Harbour Hotel.
