Bannock and BARKs in Victoria

  • June 18, 2018

Victoria is absolutely gorgeous in the summer. The island biosphere means it never gets stiflingly hot, so you’re able to enjoy cool ocean breezes while still enjoying the sun, and there’s just so much to do downtown. Check out these fun events!

BANNOCK AND BREWS

A unique opportunity to learn about the aboriginal culture of Vancouver Island, Bannock & Brews on the Harbour is also a chance to enjoy an evening out on the water! Taking place on the Orca Spirit II, you’ll be told about the histories and traditions of the local area while sipping on delicious microbrew from Category 12 brewery! Then, enjoy a gourmet meal prepared by local chefs, fusing traditional first nations food with other gourmet cuisines for a one of a kind experience. Once the meal is over, there will be music spun by local DJ James Green, making this a perfect night out in Victoria’s beautiful Inner Harbour. 19+.

PET-A-PALOOZA

Western Canada’s biggest pet festival is back! Now at a new location at St. Ann’s Academy this August 12 and 13, this free and pet friendly event is a blast for both you and your furry friends. You and your doggos can take part in fun entertainment like dock diving, wiener dog races, a puppy stampede and more! There will also be an “off leash” adventure park and tons of free treats and swag for both you and your pet. There’s nothing quite like Pet-a-palooza! Treat your pupper right and come on over!

Did you know that the Days Inn Victoria on The Harbour is pet-friendly? Because we totally are. That means you and your fuzzy friends can come take part in Pet-a-palooza, or any of the other fun activities in and around downtown Victoria, without a care in the world. Book your stay today!
