SHADOWS OF PASSCHENDAELE

In time for Remembrance Day, the author of “Remembered in Bronze and Stone,” Alan Livingstone MacLeod, will give a talk about the legacy of the battle of Passchendaele where over 16,000 Canadian soldiers were killed or wounded fighting for a village in Belgium. Of special note, Livingstone will recount how this battle influenced the history of Victoria itself, tracing the impact of this global event on our local heritage! Takes place November 4 at the Greater Victoria Public Library on Broughton. Details here!

SHADOW PUPPET SHOW

There’s nothing quite like the wonder of a shadow puppet. Expressive and mysterious, these shapes conjure the imagination like nothing else! On November 9 and 10 at the Intrepid Theatre, Mochinosha and The Wishes Puppet Company presents Shadow Kingdom, an original work that will captivate children and the young at heart! Don’t miss out!
