Come to Victoria for some fun in the sun!

CAR FREE DAY YYJ

Victoria is always a great town for walking – our historic downtown is full of charming shops and side streets where you can get pleasantly lost, exploring and discovering all sorts of wonders! And that will be especially true on June 17, when Douglas St. will transform into a pedestrian’s paradise for Car Free Day! Take part in a fun street festival that celebrates fun, activity, and a green planet!

ISLAND SUMMER GAMES

The Island Summer Games is a relatively new tradition, but it is nevertheless BELOVED. This is the sports championship for EVERYBODY. Rather than focusing on Olympic Sports like Track and Field and Gymnastics, this is like the ultimate beer league! The ISG consists of games like bocce, dodgeball, 3 on 3 basketball, ball hockey and more! Taking place over three days from June 22 to 24, this is an absolute blast every year. Put your team together and register here!

SIDNEY DAYS

Nearby town Sidney is a quiet oasis. Perched on the sea, this is a quaint and idyllic community with gorgeous views of the ocean and sailing ships docked at the harbour year round. It’s a great place for a day-trip… or four!

From June 29 to July 2, Sidney book-ends Canada Day with four days of celebration in an event they call Sidney Days! With different events on all four days, there’s plenty to see and do! Take part in a very Canadian take on the traditional “diner en blanc” with a more patriotic “dinner en rouge” on June 29! Watch the fireworks reflect on the open water on June 30 and celebrate with a Canada Day parade on July 1!

There’s no better place to stay in Victoria than the Days Inn Victoria on The Harbour. Our unbeatable location and pet-friendly rooms make us the best location for an extended stay in the city – book your room today
